How it plays.
Start with a small colony and turn nearby terrain into a defensible perimeter. Workers, food and power compete for space as you push outward for resources. Between scheduled hordes, roaming infected can slip through a weak spot and turn your own buildings into a fresh source of enemies.
Good fit if
You like base-building under pressure, setting up chokepoints and deciding how much territory you can defend.
What to know before playing
Survival maps are the clearest introduction to the colony loop. The campaign mixes colony missions with hero missions, and a breach can erase a long stretch of progress.
