How to read the release dates, scores and charts in Game Atlas.
The catalog.
Profiles show where their data comes from. Store listings can enter the catalog from Steam, the App Store, and FreeToGame. Each release date names the edition or source it describes.
Editorial profiles link to the sources for their artwork and availability. Some also link to the matching IGDB profile. Catalogue entries from FreeToGame credit the provider.FreeToGame API ·IGDB
Game profiles and media.
Atlas recaps describe what you do in a game and what to expect in a sitting. Publisher excerpts are labeled separately. Screenshots link to their storefront or catalog source, and videos link to the original player.
Critic entries link to the review and identify the platform where known. Some profiles link to a full review collection on OpenCritic or CriticDB. Game Atlas uses Wikidata to match external IDs to a Steam listing or a Title Screen archive record. IGDB critic scores, IGDB community ratings and Steam player recommendations use separate scales and samples.
The archive adapts historical work and release records from Title Screen’s 2026.10.09 build. It covers games with earliest documented releases through 2004. A release lists its source and retains the available date precision. Store links identify separately matched editions.
FronkonGames’ pinned Steam dataset supplies listing facts, play modes, operating systems and cover links. The tower-defence collection includes hybrids with a prominent Steam Tower Defense tag. Steam listing dates describe those PC editions, and the store is the source for current availability.
Checks report access by store, platform and market on the date shown. Steam and iOS checks cover a subset of games in Greece and the United States. Some retro games have Nintendo Classics subscription checks for the United States and United Kingdom.
Free iOS downloads can include purchases. Subscription listings may also require an account or additional content.
Steam Deck compatibility.
Deck badges and filters use Valve’s compatibility category for the exact Steam game. Verified and Playable are separate ratings. Unknown is Valve’s rating for a game without a completed review, and an unchecked game has no captured rating in Atlas.
The filters and comparisons use features listed for the Steam edition. Discover requires a listing to include every selected feature. Publishers report these accessibility features to Steam.
The budget filters use a dated euro snapshot of Greek Steam listings. The discount filter uses listings whose discount percentage Steam marks for display. Price history records observed changes over time, and sale alerts use newly observed discounts on saved games. The store link opens the listing where you can check the latest price.
The calendar is a dated selection from the Greek Steam storefront. It preserves the public date precision Valve shows and offers tentative calendar events for exact days. Followed releases are stored in your browser and included in Saved backups. Saved shows alerts when a followed title gains or changes an exact release date. Game Atlas checks for new alerts while the site is open.
The finder uses reviewed estimates for a single sitting, with an example of what to do in that time. It checks the chosen platform, time and mood. Choosing a market also requires a matching storefront check. New store listings enter the finder once they have a reviewed session.
Steam reviews fetched by the refresh command report the share of positive recommendations among eligible Steam purchases. Discover and game profiles use the latest available Steam review summary. The pinned catalog supplies scores when a newer summary is missing. App Store and Google Play ratings use their own storefront scales and samples.
Critic scores and outlet reviews.
PC Metascores come from the exact Steam listing, with a labeled fallback from the pinned Steam catalog. Atlas also readsWikidata review score referencesfor exact Steam, verified mobile and Title Screen game identities. These link to the original outlet or Metacritic and retain the reported platform and scale.
Additional outlet scores come from Wikipedia review tables. Atlas uses the original outlet URL and links to the exact Wikipedia citation. The table's reported edition and score scale appear with the review where available.
Steam player counts.
Most played sorts the catalog games sampled in one refresh by concurrent players on Steam. The sample includes titles from Steam’s Most Played chart and frequently reviewed games from each genre. Each sample has a capture date.
Google Play shows cumulative download ranges such as 5M+ and a separate star rating. Atlas sorts by the lower bound of the published range. Atlas checks exact package IDs fromWikidata and reviewed listings. Apple chart position is shown for its own storefront and chart.
Chart positions are available directly from the App Store and Google Play. The Apple table uses dated observations from the older iTunes Games feed. A star rating is a separate measure from a chart position.
